Medical Devices Imported into Australia
The Australian Competent Authority (TGA) requires that
foreign organizations wishing to import and sell medical
devices in Australia are required by law to be represented
by an Australian sponsor for most types of medical devices.
AQAS holds a TGA Enterprise number as a sponsor for overseas
medical companies.
Most medical devices are required to be either listed or
registered on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
